Yesterday’s run was the last hill session I’ll do before the Mississauga Marathon on May 16.
The run was a total of 10.5K, and included 10 repeats of a 200 meter hill. It’s a small climb, but enough to enforce good form and stride. And doing it 10 times, of course, is good for the body and for the soul.
As I’ve said before, I’m always surprised at how enjoyable I find these hill repeat sessions. Not what I would have expected at all. But they’re very satisfying.
I have a rest day today, and two longer runs over the next couple of days (10K and 18K). Then it’ll just be short interval sessions to finish off my pre-marathon taper.
