Just finished a short, late afternoon treadmill hill session. Work is very busy this week, so I’m grabbing these training runs where and when I can. They’re nothing like serious training, but I don’t want to be a total slug on Sunday’s Tannenbaum 10K.

After Sunday, I’ll be cruising (aka maintenance runs/building a good base) until I start training in mid-January for my early season goal race, the Self Transcendence 6 Hour, which takes place on June 4.

    1. Two years ago, I ran a 50K race in 6 hours and 19 minutes. If I can do about 50K in the Self Transcendence 6 Hour, I’ll be happy. The differences between the race I did in 2008 and the one I’ll do in 2011 are: 1/ I ran the 50K in running shoes, while I’ll do the 6 Hour in minimalist huaraches; and 2/ I now know a lot more about running long distances than I did two years ago.
