Another One

A most excellent 5K tempo run this morning. -1C, no wind, and light fog (unusual at this time of year, but kind of fun). I must have done something right, because I ran more quietly today (which translates as more lightly, which translates as more quickly). Huarache happiness!

The mild weather is supposed to continue for the next couple of days. It may get up to 8C on Saturday. Not bad, not bad at all.

    Absolutely!! I’d love that.

Perhaps I can convince my wife to vacation in Toronto. Are there any good vacation attractions?

Or…Portland’s always a great place to visit.

    1. Toronto’s a tourist mecca. Multi-cultural, clean, safe. Great neighbourhoods, great restaurants, and some very good running routes.

On the other hand, I’ve heard good things about Portland…

  2. Alan:

I ran in my newly created Huaraches yesterday. I ran a short 5K to check them out. I think all the running I’ve done in my VFFs has paid off. It ony took me about two blocks and I was silent as a ninja (I went with the black laces too!).

The run felt good despite having a cold. I really wanted to run, but I was sick and was on the verge of deciding against it when I read three of your most recent posts. I must thank you for providing me the inspiration, as your blog often does, to get out of bed and run. I felt great the rest of the day after running!

    1. Todd, we really have to run together sometime. Either Portland or here, doesn’t matter.

Glad you had the good run. And am pleased to hear that the huaraches lived up to their billing.

What do you think?
